04 September 2009 Popular mare Hartburn dies
The popular Northern-based mare Hartburn, who it was hoped would be retired to stud after fracturing a cannon bone at Hexham in June (as reported here recently), has sadly had to be put down. The complications which developed in the last few days meant that it was impossible to save her. READ MORE
26 August 2009 Watership Down retired
Watership Down, one of the most successful horses qualified in the Sandhurst Area in recent years, has been retired. The winner of a Hunter Chase at Folkestone and five Point-to-Points was always ridden by his owner, 25-year-old Clare Wills. READ MORE
