The Northern Area Point-to-Point Association is organising a training seminar for aspiring young jockeys on Sunday 11th November at Kelso Racecourse.
Former Champion National Hunt jockey Peter Scudamore will feature amongst the presenters sharing their knowledge and experience to help the Point-to-Point riders of the future get familiarised with the sport.
The seminar is targeted at first season riders but other novice riders are more than welcome. It's not restricted to NPPA hunts, and the organisers hope for interest from young riders based in Yorkshire. The seminar will run from 10.00am to 1.00pm (with light lunch provided) at Kelso Racecourse.
PPORA representative and Scottish trainer Nick Alexander said: "This is an excellent initiative; a structured training day will be hugely useful to many involved in Point-to-Pointing and I am sure it will be popular with several enthusiasts who work at Kinneston."
