The action in the Welsh Border Point-to-Point area will move to its most historic course this Saturday at Brampton Bryan, near Leintwardine.

Secretary Pauline Duggan has received 161 entries making a card of a minimum of seven races for the afternoon, including a Connolly's Red Mills Intermediate qualifier, where the first four home will qualify for the final at Cheltenham on May 6th.

Joan Hitchings' progressive performer Ice Cool Benny, who has already won two races in the area, is entered here, but amongst the opposition is Steve Flook's game mare No Virtue who was recently placed here and is quietly fancied.

The flying Frenchman Jeremy Mahot has at last returned to the saddle and will be keen to regain his place at the head of the local riders table, thus Worship The Stars is a notable entry in the Men's Open event.

Ann Price's consistent gelding Hoh Nelson has run his heart out this season without getting his head in front, but may well grab the glory in the Hunt Members race.

The first race at Brampton Bryan (SY7 0JT) is due off at 2pm and the beautiful riverside course can be found between Leintwardine and Knighton on the A4113, nine miles northwest of Ludlow.
