Darren Edwards, 34, registered his 250th success between the flags at Buckfastleigh when taking the Connolly’s Red Mills Intermediate on Pistol Shoot, the second leg of his double initiated in the Restricted on Cloudy Music.

He is now eleventh in the all-time winning riders' list, and of those still riding only Will Biddick and Phil York are ahead of him.

A Chartered Surveyor and Partner with Fisher German in Market Harborough, Darren commutes to ride in the West Country every weekend, and is the reigning Devon & Cornwall area champion.

He opened his account at Chipley Park in 2001 on Blade Of Fortune, and in addition he has scored 27 victories under National Hunt Rules, including on the Martin Pipe-trained Maximise in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Chase at the 2004 Cheltenham Festival.
