We are proud to count Connolly’s RED MILLS and Foran Equine among the key supporters of this season’s National Point-to-Point Awards, where they sponsor three prestigious national categories: the Connolly’s RED MILLS Champion Horse, Foran Equine Leading Trainer (6–14 horses), and Foran Equine Leading Trainer (15+ horses).
A global leader in animal nutrition, Connolly’s RED MILLS, alongside its trusted portfolio brands Foran Equine, Foran Healthcare and Carr & Day & Martin, shares an unwavering commitment to performance, quality and care. Their continued support of point-to-point racing is a testament to their dedication not only to equine wellbeing but also to the grassroots of our sport.
This season, Aramax, trained in Suffolk by Jennifer Owen and Josh Newman’s El Capitaine are currently jointly top the Connolly’s RED MILLS Champion Horse standings with six wins. Closely followed by Josh Newman’s Clondaw Drake, with 5 wins. These standout horses for Josh Newman have played a pivotal role in the competitive 15+ trainer’s category.
In the Foran Equine Leading Trainer (6–14 horses) division, Jennifer Owen holds the lead with 13 wins, three ahead of Harry Ryall, Nicholas Wright, and Cherry Coward, who each sit on 10 withs each. Meanwhile, last season’s winner of the 15+ category, Josh Newman, is once again setting the pace with 38 winners to date, maintaining a two-win lead over Gina Andrews (36).
We are deeply grateful for the ongoing and enthusiastic support of Connolly’s RED MILLS and Foran Equine, whose partnership plays a vital role in helping us recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements across our sport.
