Premier League performance in Ineos Grenadier final

  • Posted: Sunday, 7th May 2023

Premier Magic proved too good for his rivals when running out a convincing winner of Friday evening’s £10,000 Ineos Grenadier Mixed Open Series final.

Returning to the scene of his recent Cheltenham Festival triumph, the Bradley Gibbs-trained and ridden ten-year-old beat Rebel Dawn Rising and Myth Buster by 17 lengths and five and a half lengths.

Gibbs trains at a yard in Hertfordshire owned by his future father-in-law Julian Sherriff, who is also the owner of Premier Magic.

Georgina Best of Ineos Grenadier presented trophies to the winning connections.  Ineos Grenadier, a rugged, four-wheel drive vehicle manufacturer, has now all but completed its second year of national sponsorship of point-to-pointing, although it is also backing Saturday's mixed open race at Bonvilston

Carolyn Tanner’s full report on the race and the rest of the Cheltenham hunters’ chase evening card will be published next week
