Lomas Helicopter Conditions (Level 2)

Grangeclare Glory for owner/rider/trainer Jack Veysey has been running very well this season and his 2nd to Mourzouk at Flete Park could see him go off favourite here. Young Wolf only ran twice last season but showed plenty of ability to finish runner up on both occasions. Danielle Kenealy would need him at his best here to beat Grangeclare Glory however. Makety’s 2nd at the first Trebudannon meeting behind Duc de Beauchene could be good enough to run into a placing here for Charlotte Leary. The lightly raced All Thumbs Up, has only had one run for Luke Price, which was a winning one when last seen over two years ago. Coming from Luke’s yard, you know he will be fit but having only won a Maiden, has been thrown in the deep end here.

Jenkinson Potts Construction Restricted

Conor’s Gift (Leslie Jefford) was very impressive on her seasonal debut at Cherrybrook and came home 12 lengths clear of her nearest rival. She was not a match for Noble Blue at Flete Park on her next outing and had to settle for a distant 2nd place. Echo Of Promise was a long-standing Maiden but that did not last long after she joined Luke Price’s yard and won the Mares Maiden at Kilworthy. Ask Lileen won a Maiden in Ireland and was picked up by Anthony Honeyball for £30,000. After a couple disappointing runs in Handicap company, she has made the switch to Teresa Clark’s stables, who is Anthony’s sister. She came home alone at Cothelstone to win the Members Race but it could be the confidence boost she needed. Liwah (Joshua Newman) seems to have been unfortunate this season and keeps bumping into one better than herself, so it would be great to see her get her head in front! Myfanwy for Arron Jones, displayed her mother’s attributes when winning a Maiden at Cotley last year but unfortunately fell on her debut this season at Maisemore. Connections will be looking to make amends here and it would not be a surprise if she was in the mix!

R & C H Wilson Builder Ltd & Fearnley Lott Architects Mixed Open

Rian Corcoran has shown his talents in the saddle this season on a variety of different horses and has steered Duc de Beauchene to three victories for his family. He was a very impressive winner at Buckfastleigh and even more so at the second Trebudannon meeting when demolishing the field in the Cornish National over 3m4f. He was once a very class individual for JP McManus under rules and has retained plenty of ability with the switch to Points. His main rival could be the quirky Switch Hitter, who has kept Olive Nicholls on her toes this season with his pre-race behaviour! They had to chase home Humaniste at Dunsmore but could prove a danger to Duc de Beauchene. Of the others, Skilford Lord (Danielle Kenealy) was the winner of the Grassroots at Dunsmore and this will be his first taste of Open company. Dorrells Pierji (Emma Summersby) was unlucky to be headed in the final strides at Chilfrome and would be another choice for Rian Corcoran.

Totnes & Bridgetown Races Company Ltd & FC Cleaning Services Conditions (Level 2) for Grassroots Riders

The prolific Pointing mare, Walkin Out, has an impressive CV with 11 Point wins and 1 Hunter Chase to her name, 6 of these wins coming under Anna Johnston. She does have a 10lb penalty here which is mostly counteracted by her 7lb mares’ allowance. They got the better of The Kings Writ at Trebudannon giving Leslie Jefford and John Dorse another winner. Peacocks Secret shows that age is just a number and at 5 years older than Walkin Out, shows no lack of enthusiasm having won his Members Race at Cherrybrook and a week later, came 2nd to Skilful Lord at Dunsmore. D&C Area Secretary, Gordon Chambers and Pointing enthusiast David Winzer, have a very consistent horse but may have to settle for a place here. Caspers Court (Joshua Newman) finished 2nd to Peacocks Secret at Cherrybrook and backed it up with another 2nd at Flete Park when he stayed on well to finish 2nd to Jubertilee, but again could find Walkin Out too strong. Funky Sensation provided Helen Bament with a first winner in 2 years at Stafford Cross and could look to make a quick reappearance. Grangeclare Glory also holds an entry in this race if skipping the first.

The Jockey Club Mares & Fillies Maiden

6 entries have come forward for this Mares & Fillies Maiden. Joshua Newman has trained the winner of this race for the past 2 seasons and will be hoping to bring home the trophy once again. He has Queen Record entered who comes off the back of some mixed form in Irish Points for Aidan Fitzgerald. Baileys Big Image is a 4yo by Pillar Coral and will be looking to make her racecourse debut for Max Young. She receives the 4-year-old age allowance, as does Poet’s Muse, for Robert Chanin. She made her debut at Maisemore Park in the Flat Race over 2 miles and stayed on well to the line, so the step up in trip should suit. One that should have come on from their last outing is Woolacombebay for trainer Ellie Hatcher, who is looking to score her first winner. The mare finished behind Top Of Off at Cothelstone and could find this race an easier task.

Brewer Harding & Rowe Solicitors Maiden

Jeu Gagnant overcame a long lay off to run a cracking race at Trebudannon on Easter Monday and will be strongly fancied here to get patient owners, Here Come the Girls Partnership, back in the winner’s enclosure. Zalando ran in the same race as Jeu Gagnant at Trebudannon and was disappointing after such a good run behind Jetsmart at Kilworthy a few weeks prior and will be looking to make amends here. Hogan, for the Luke Price and James King combination, ran well on his seasonal debut at Howick and connections will be hoping to supply the title chasing James King with another success. Although still a maiden, interestingly, Testflight ran in the Restricted at Cherrybrook and ran very well considering and it would not be a surprise if he came home in the placings taking a step back into his own company.
